Hazardous waste minimisation study

State regulations specify that hazardous waste producers must prepare and submit to the corresponding Autonomous Community a study on the minimization of hazardous waste. The first of these studies had to be presented in 2001 and later a new study must be presented every four years. The study must include all hazardous waste from which the establishment is a producer in legal terms. The minimization studio must present those companies that generate more than 10 tonnes of hazardous waste / year regardless of their activity. Only the hazardous waste generated in the home environment and the small producers of hazardous waste are exempt from this obligation.
Any action that tends to reduce hazardous or dangerous hazardous waste is understood as minimizing, and includes aspects related to process changes, internal recycling or the adoption of good practices.
